Green, red, and yellow were the main colors for the earlier costumes of Robin. The green color was used on and off, and black was added later on. These colors remained for the rest of the versions in comic books, television, and movies.

However, in the latest movie, the color of Robin’s costume was plain red and black in an armor-like body suit.

Termed as the most popular sidekick of all time, he was allegedly created to entertain the much younger generation of comic book fans. His adventurous attitude and support for the hero has been a model for most comic book characters of the recent years.

His colorful costume, complete with a simple mask, is a favorite among the Halloween kids.

There are super hero costumes that could be made with improvised materials, a creative streak, and a little skill, but when it comes to Robin Costumes, it might be quite a challenge to set up a decent and similar looking garb.

Fabrics could easily be obtained and there would be no need to use special materials, provided one does not plan to imitate the movies’ muscle-outlined Robin body suit.

The alternative would be to buy a ready-made one from costume shops or have a unique version tailor-made. It would cost you quite a bit, but if you really want to look like the teen hero then the money would be well worth it.

All the Robin versions wore capes. They just vary in length and colors throughout the comic books, the live action, the animated series, and the movies.

Robin has not yet appeared in the current Batman movies, however, despite the speculations about the actor who would portray him in the newer films, it seems the character of Robin will not yet grace the modern rendition of the Batman films any time soon.
